The Hera Group promotes Circular View by Silvia Camporesi, curated by Carlo Sala, from 24 January to 24 February 2020 at Spazio Carbonesi, in Palazzo Zambeccari, Bologna.
The idea for the exhibition stems from the photographic project commissioned in 2018 from Silvia Camporesi to document the works that would make the Hera Group the first multi-utility in Italy to build a biomethane production plant using organic waste. Once work on the Sant’Agata Bolognese site was completed, the photo report was enriched with additional shots, thus becoming the complete story of the plant’s creation.
The exhibition consists of 11 large-format photographs that unveil where and how waste takes another form and becomes biofuel. Technology, innovation, industrial process, efficiency and circularity are the messages behind each of the images captured by the artist.
Silvia Camporesi visited the plant every month for an entire year, documenting the changes of the structure. “The images that make up the finished work weave a purely documentary vision with the evocative dimension that the artist sought to give the site”, underlines the curator Carlo Sala.
